County may require worker housing
Proposal would make hotel, retail developers build housing

Monroe County officials are considering a proposal that would require, or at least provide an incentive for developers of hotel and commercial retail projects to include employee housing in their project plans.

County commissioners are concerned that these big projects will put a further burden on the county's limited affordable housing pool.
