Abreu verbally accepts deal with Diamondbacks

KEY WEST -- Former Key West High School standout second baseman Mike Abreu received some good news Saturday afternoon.

The 2012 Key West graduate was drafted in the 17th round, 510th overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Abreu said he verbally accepted Arizona's offer and will begin his professional baseball career next week after a successful two seasons...
