The city will mark the ninth annual "Dump the Pump Day," celebration that promotes public transit on June 19. A Mile Marker Wednesday erroneously said the bus rides would be free. Regular rates apply.
"The more people give up their cars now and then, the more likely we are to reduce greenhouses gasses," said city spokeswoman Alyson Crean. "And the city of Key West has set a goal of reducing carbon emissions by 15 percent by the year 2015."
