Rivett joins First State as loan officer

Chris Rivett has joined First State Bank of the Florida Keys as residential loan administration officer, residential loan assistant manager/underwriter.

Rivett brings 13 years of mortgage underwriting experience to First State Bank. He also holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in finance from Central Michigan University. He attended training sessions in the Harvard Management Mentor program.

"We are very pleased to add someone with Chris' experience to our First State Bank team," said Robert Murrell, vice president and loan administration officer. "We're confident his know-how and background will be beneficial to our customers and our bank."

Noe honored as Employee of the Year

At Sloppy Joe's annual staff summer party, the Jean Klausing Employee of the Year was presented to Evelyne Noe.

Noe is a food server who has been with Sloppy Joe's for seven years.

She was recognized for her outstanding performance and dedication to her work throughout the year.

Strip House welcomes Orr as chef

Strip House at The Reach announced recently that Brendan Orr has been named executive chef. Prior to joining Strip House, Orr worked at Louie's Backyard for five years, and also as executive chef at Rooftop Café of Key West.

Before moving to Key West, he worked at two of Jacksonville's top-rated restaurants. He also worked as an executive chef of a trendy bistro in the fourth Arrondissement in Paris and is a Cordon Bleu Master Series Graduate who worked under Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (MOF) Chef Michel Cliche.

Orr was born in Tucson, raised in Miami, and studied at the University of Florida.
