On June 28, Hard Rock Cafe Key West celebrated the opening of its new Duval Street Patio Bar with 400 plus local Key West VIPs at a red carpet event.

The evening was filled with a variety of entertainment, including performances by the Junkanoos, Sushi and the 801 Girls and The Hard Rock House Band. And the guests were treated to gourmet fare and a full open bar.

The Hard Rock also held a silent auction, a live auction and a raffled trip to Hard Rock's Punta Cana Hotel and Casino with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Rotary Club of Key West, which raised more than $12,000 for the Key West High School Scholarship Fund.

The evening was celebrated by Mayor Craig Cates represented by Commissioner Clayton Lopez proclaimed the day as Hard Rock Cafe Key West Day.

To add to the celebration, Elizabeth MaGlaughlin was inaugurated as the 99th president of the Rotary Club.
