Our beloved mother and grandmother, Celina Perez Milian, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2014 at the age of 96 surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born in Key West on August 7, 1917 and was a lifelong resident who dedicated her life to caring for her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty one years, Oscar Lucas Milian, and their two sons, Sergio and Nestor Milian. She is survived by her three daughters, Gloria Cisneros, Anita Milian, and Celia Walker, and by nineteen grandchildren, fifty -one great grandchildren, and thirty seven great-great grandchildren, many of whom still reside in Key West.

She was a devoted member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and considered them to be part of her extended family.

There are few words to express the loss we feel for such an extraordinary woman, who was the matriarch of our family and an inspiration to all who knew her. "Abuela Celina" will forever be cherished for her captivating smile and unconditional love. Her contagious energy, love of life, and devotion to family and friends will always resonate through her many descendents. We all aspire to live up to such a beautiful woman who lived to love her family. She was and will continue to be a true role model to all who knew her.

A memorial service for Celina will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 1117 White Street on Thursday, July 17 at 4:00 in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her honor to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1117 White Street, Key West, FL 33040
