Sand art contest coming

The Casa Marina resort will host Sand Isle's first International Sand Art Competition Nov. 26-29, the hotel announced this week.

The competition will take place on the resort's private beach and the public may view the sculptures through Nov. 30.

World-renowned sand sculptors will craft massive works of art in the sand with masonry trowels, shovels and their hands. Artists scheduled to compete include Key West's Chris Guinto, Rusty Croft, Benjamin Probanza, Dan Doubleday, Dan Belcher and Jooheng Tan from Singapore.
