Records mess costs taxpayers $168K
Clerk says mistakes were made during City Hall move

Key West is still recovering from a costly moving day hangover.

Taxpayers will foot a $168,000 bill over the next three fiscal years to have several boxes' of paper records sorted out because city employees a few years ago failed to properly pack away the documents.
