Free meals for kids

The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County and United Way of the Florida Keys are teaming up to promote Summer Break Spot, a program that offers free breakfast and lunch to any child or young adult up to age 18 on weekdays during the summer months.

The two sites are Key Largo School, breakfast, 7:45-8:15 a.m., lunch, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., through Aug. 8; and Poinciana Elementary, breakfast, 7:45-8 a.m., lunch, 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m., through Aug. 8.
