Voters closer to deciding heights
'It's going to save your house,' Commissioner Johnston says

Key West homeowners deserve the right to raise their houses above FEMA flood level in an effort to stave off financial ruin, the chairman of the city's appointed Sustainability Advisory Board says.

"I don't think I need to remind anyone here how devastating the flooding was during Hurricane Wilma," said Michael Larson, a New Town resident, told city commissioners this week....
