Authorities jailed a 43-year-old director of a nonprofit health service Tuesday on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia after police said a K-9 sniffed out a blue glass pipe that had marijuana residue on it.
Vicki Boguszewski, who works at the Rural Health Network of Monroe County, faces a misdemeanor charge. Officer Alexander Rodriguez pulled her over at 11:18 p.m. on North Roosevelt Boulevard after he "visually estimated" her 2013 Fiat was going 45 mph in the 25 mph zone.
Rodriguez said he smelled marijuana in the car and called for the K-9 team. Boguszewski said she had nothing illegal in the car.
