Jose Blanco Jr. "Mito" was received into the arms of his Lord and Savior Tuesday August 26, 2014. He had recently celebrated his 92nd birthday. Jose, the son of Jose and Encarnacion Blanco, was a "conch" born and raised in Key West where he met and married his wife Geraldine "Jerry" and where they raised their two sons, Daniel and Terry. Jose served his country in the U.S. Army as well as working civil service through the Navy. He enjoyed baseball, bird watching, dancing, working in the yard, fishing and eating sweets, especially fresh baked "Blanco Tribe" cookies. In the latter years of his life, he also enjoyed many first time experiences, among them visiting Walt Disney World, which he said everyone should visit at least once.

Preceding him in death is his wife, his parents, his sisters Vitalia and Elia, along with other loved family and friends. Those remaining are his two sons and their wives, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mito now lives eternally in Paradise with the Lord and that is the precious Good News and those who follow Mito's example of asking Jesus to forgive their sins and be their Lord and Savior will see Mito again.

"Absent from the body, present with the Lord."

Daddy, Lelo, mi viejito, we will see you again.
