A free screening of the documentary film "Standardized" will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday at the PAC Center at Coral Shores High School, 89901 Overseas Highway in Tavernier. The showing is being sponsored by Minimize Testing Maximize Learning, an Upper Keys, grassroots effort dedicated to minimizing excessive standardized testing in Monroe County schools,
The film's co-sponsors include Islamorada Community Entertainment, Restivo, Reilly, Vigil-Fariñas, LLC, and the Plantation Key School and CSHS School Advisory Councils.
Additionally, the Monroe County School Board has scheduled a Tuesday workshop at the school. The workshop will focus on standardized testing in public schools.
This is the first time the film will be screened in the Keys.
