John Thomas "Thomasina" Irvan, age 60, died after an extended illness on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at Lower Keys Medical Center in Key West, Fla.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murray, Ky. and a graduate of Murray High School. He attended Murray State University.

He was reared in Murray, but made his home in Key West, Fla., for the past 30 years.

Thomasina was a former Queen Mother in 2005.

He was preceded in death by his mother Rebecca Farmer Irvan and his father John Irvan, both of Murray. His maternal grandparents were Autry and Elizabeth Farmer and his paternal grandparents were Pat and Emma Rose Irvan, all of Murray.

Memorial services will be held Friday Sept. 5, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home, 418 Simonton Street, Key West, Fla.

Visitation will be Friday at 3 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
