The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission meets in Key West today and Friday.
Three major issues that affect the Florida Keys are on the agenda.
One would impose a seasonal ban on recreational grouper fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. A second would restart a program to reduce the number of traps commercial fishermen are allowed to have by reducing it by 10 percent whenever fishermen sell their licenses to someone outside the immediate family. A third would impose more restrictions on tropical fish collectors.
