Board approves museum zoning change

The Mel Fisher Maritime Museum took a step closer to becoming rezoned as a part of the Duval Street entertainment district Thursday, winning approval on two 3-2 votes from the Key West Planning Board.

The board went against the recommendation of city staff to deny changes to the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) and zoning.
