Keys hope for change in 2009

As the Florida Keys ushered in a new year, most people were hoping that 2009 brings better economic news than 2008.

The global economic crisis hit home with record layoffs, food and gas price hikes, social services cuts, foreclosures and the bottom dropping out of the real estate market.
