(nee Cryan) Drezner
Kathleen C. (nee Cryan) Drezner, 68, of Key West, Fla., and Annapolis, Md., passed away on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, of brain cancer at her home in Annapolis.
Born in Trenton, N.J., on July 18, 1941, to the late Francis M. and Catherine M. (nee Fitzgerald) Cryan, Kathleen graduated with valedictorian honors in 1981 from St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing and worked as a nurse for several years. Subsequent to her husband's retirement, she was employed as a technical and set designer in the theatre in Key West, where she received rave reviews and was selected to work at the Edinburgh Arts Festival in the United Kingdom. While living in Bucks County, Pa., she also worked part time as an interior designer.
In addition to her late parents, she is also predeceased by her late son, Darryl DeFeo, who passed away in 2002. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Dr. Malcolm Drezner, who practiced general surgery in Mercer County, N.J., and Bucks County, Pa.; one brother, Francis M. Cryan Jr. of Trenton, N.J.; two sisters, Francine M. Cauffman of Royersford, Pa., and Patricia E. Cichon of Las Vegas, Nev.; four loving stepchildren, Amy and Jessica in California, Ann in Florida, and Jon of Princeton, N.J.; five grandchildren, including her beloved Danielle DeFeo, a student at North Carolina State University, where she has received noteworthy academic achievement.
A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. on the same day, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, also at the funeral home.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
