Carn named marketing director
Keys Federal Credit Union recently announced that Mary Lou Carn has joined the credit union as its new marketing director.
Carn brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience with Comcast here in the Keys. She began her career with TCI Media Services in 1991 and completed her Comcast career in 2012 as a regional marketing manager for the Florida region.
"The addition of Mary Lou to our executive team is another step in our evolution here at Keys Federal Credit Union," said Scott Duszynski, KFCU president and CEO. "We look forward to the fresh, dynamic and innovative ideas she will bring to enhancing our service to members. Her knowledge within the community will be invaluable as we begin our 73rd year of service to the residents of the Florida Keys."
Carn moved to Key West from Massachusetts in 1985. She attended Key West High School, received her bachelor's degree Florida State University in 1991 and returned to Key West to pursue a career in sales, marketing and advertising.
In her free time, Carn enjoys spending time with her family and running. She and husband Rick have four children, a grandson and two dogs.
Morris is Zontian of the month
The Zonta Club of Marathon chose Tara Morris as the October Zontian of the Month.
Morris was president of the club from 2005-2006, has held many board positions and committee chairmanships. She continues to spend time with the scholarship and service committees and the Z rubber duckies.
Morris moved to the Keys from Virginia in 1996 and became a Zonta member in 2000. She worked at the Dolphin Research Center and since 2006 has been employed with Bishop, Rosasco & Co. Because of her affiliation with the accountants, she helped Zonta acquire a grant from a state foundation that helps pay for mammograms for uninsured and under insured women in the Middle Keys.

Chamber honors Divers Direct
The Key Largo Chamber of Commerce recently presented Divers Direct CEO Kevin Senecal with the 2012 Chairman's Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the Key Largo Chamber. Divers Direct has a long history of supporting the Keys, including guaranteeing a $250,000 loan to support the sinking of the Spiegel Grove artificial reef, according to a press release from the Key Largo chamber.
Recently Divers Direct volunteered to be the premier sponsor for the 36-foot Christmas tree that will be displayed at the Murray Nelson Government and Cultural Center. The chamber will celebrate the lighting of the tree with the 3rd Annual Light Up Key Largo community event on Dec. 1.
