Finding a new home in Paradise is now as easy as sitting on your couch with a cup of coffee and turning on the TV. The Keys Home Show premiers Saturday and will showcase local properties for sale and the Realtors representing them.
The half-hour television program includes up-to-date real estate listings, video tours of each property and contact information for the selling agents and brokerages. The listings and video tours are also available on the companion website, KeysHomeShow.com.
"The real estate market is recovering in the Keys. After several very difficult years, the housing stock is moving again," says Marshall McPeek, owner of MRM Media Marketing, LLC, whcih is producing the show. "Our show is a perfect way to connect new buyers with some of the great homes and Realtors here in Paradise."
The Keys Home Show airs four times each weekend: 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays on WEYW-TV19 (channel 19 on AT T's U-Verse system and channel 87 on Comcast's cable system). It can be seen throughout the Florida Keys, plus in the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale markets with a potential reach of more than 300,000 households.
"We've created an excellent opportunity for local agents to reach a very large audience at an extremely cost-effective price," says McPeek, a television veteran of more than two decades. "We're easy to find online, but we're also putting your listings on television. That means you can enjoy the Keys Home Show in the comfort of your living room or hotel room. When you see your dream home, you can jump on our website to see it again and find more detailed information."
The program is expected to appeal to current homeowners as much as potential buyers because it offers a glimpse at the Keys lifestyle and the people who already call Paradise their home.
"The Keys Home Show is a chance to peek inside some really fantastic homes," McPeek said. "Potential buyers may find the home of their dreams. Current homeowners can get a sense of what houses are worth in the market. You might also find some intriguing decorating ideas."
Consumer advice segments also add to the broadcast's appeal.
"As the show evolves," McPeek said, "we're looking forward to also featuring the local businesses and experts who have the tips to help you buy your new home and keep in tip-top shape."
The Keys Home Show is produced by MRM Media Marketing, LLC, a new, Key West-based real estate marketing firm that offers a full menu of services including photography, video tours, and website design.
