Randy Games, 67 years of age, of Key West, Fla, passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 6, 2013.
Randy is survived by his wife, Rainy Eden. Randy and Rainy met in Key West and fell deeply in love with each other and went on to have a wonderful life together here in paradise. Randy and Rainy shared a special poem between them that said everything about how they felt about one another.
"This I will remember when the rest of life is through, the finest thing I've ever done is simply loving you."
Randy was the Key West Housing Authority inspector for 30 years. He inspected apartments of all the residents at Fort Village, Robert Gabriel, Porter Place, George Allen, Senior Citizen Plaza, Roosevelt Gardens, Poinciana, Key Plaza A, Key Plaza B, Section 8, Eastwind Apartments and Tropical Isle Apartments.
He met with so many residents and helped more than two generations many times. He really cared about the people, and the feeling was mutual. Randy was a good man and had many good friends all over our island.
Randy's physicians were Dr. Boros and Dr. Berger. They were always there for him, and Randy was grateful. He always felt secure the way they stood by him with their caring ways. Thank you to Dr. Claude Harris and Dr. Kris Bly for always coming to Randy's aid when he needed them; you are good people.
Randy's mother, Judy Games, and brother, Terry Games, passed away earlier this year. Randy is survived by his brothers Denny and Ben Games and two lovely daughters, Shelly and Shannon.
Randy worked for so many years at the Key West Housing Authority and had so many friends both in the office and the maintenance area. They had many good times together in the years past, which I am sure they all will remember with a smile.
We all will remember Randy with a smile, because of that sweet, funny sense of humor he had. He was a good and kind man. We will all miss you, Randy.
There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Monroe County Animal Shelter.
