Our world could use a little more compassion

Saturday, I was riding my bike when I ran into a marathon concert event at the community park, with gates locked and charging $5 to get in. Since I was just wanting to bypass the event and continue my regular route through the park, I asked for permission to pass through and was told by one young lady, "No! Five bucks!"
