Chamber helps blvd. businesses
The Key West Chamber of Commerce invites all North Roosevelt Boulevard business owners to participate in the Chamber's new Best of the Boulevard coupon program.
The program offers all businesses along the construction-marred boulevard the opportunity to market their businesses using the new coupon program, which includes an online coupon page featuring special offers and discounts. Customers can click, print and get the "Best of the Boulevard" at no cost to local business owners, according to a Chamber press release.
For more information or to submit a coupon, call the Chamber at 305-294-2587 or email email@example.com.
Bonsai says goodbye
After 32 years in Key West and 22 years in business in Key West, Peter and Maggie Wassylenko, owners of Bonsai Gift Gallery and Bonsai Diving are closing their businesses.
The gift shop at 1075 Duval St. will close Feb. 28 and the dive operations will cease at the end of March, Peter Wassylenko said.
"It is time to say goodbye to our favorite island," he said. "Many thanks to city staff, our loyal customers and our many friends on the island. This is our first business closure ever, and we have a lot of items to dispose of in a very short time. Come see us, show your local Keys ID for special prices and lighten our load. Thanks again, it has truly been a wonderful 32 years."
Business group host expo
