First State promotes Galstyan
First State Bank of the Florida Keys promoted Ani Galstyan to customer service representative/teller at the Key West Winn-Dixie branch.
Galstyan joined the bank in 2010 as a teller and also served as the Winn-Dixie branch's green captain. She was transferred to the boulevard office before assuming her current position, according to a bank press release.
Originally from Armenia, Galstyan has lived in Key West for the past six years.
Millis joins Keys Medical Group
Registered nurse Kathy Millis has been in nursing for nearly 29 years and holds a master's degree in nursing and nurse midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. She has recently been certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and was certified in Inpatient Obstetrics by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2005.
Millis also recently joined the medical staff at Lower Keys Medical Center. She comes to Key West after helping to open an obstetrics unit at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, Fla.
She said she is excited and proud to be a part of the team at Dr. Gregory DeLong's practice, along with Beth Rodriguez, CNM, as it provides high quality, compassionate, evidence-based care. It is the only local practice offering midwifery care. Her goal is to provide competent, compassionate midwifery care for the women of the community and educate them at their visits so they can make informed decisions regarding their care.
Sloppy Joe's honors 3 employees
Sloppy Joe's recently presented the Jean Klausing Award to employees of the month Ginny Harmony, Jess Murray and Paula Davis. Harmony has been with Sloppy Joe's for more than two years working as a retail associate. Murray has been a bartender for more than nine years and Davis has been a bartender for more than six years, according to a press release from the business. All three were recognized for their outstanding performance and dedication to their work.
