Sloppy's honors Bondar, Reamer
Sloppy Joe's Bar recently awarded bartender Ashley Bondar and barback Randy Reamer the Jean Klausing Employee of the Month awards.
Bondar has been serving drinks at the famous bar for a year and Reamer has been there for four years as a barback. according to a press release.
Named after the late Jean Klausing, a former general manager of Sloppy Joe's, the award recognize employees in all departments for outstanding performance and dedication to their work.
Literacy group promotes Thomas-Nolan
The local division of Literacy Volunteers of America recentely promoted Dawn Thoman-Nolan assistant director. Thomas-Nolan was the LVA Lower Keys coordianator for four years. and in her new position will focus on increasing the use of technology as a teaching tool for LVA's volunteer tutors and students, according to a press release from the organization.

StayFit honors Zeigler
StayFit Studio last month recognized Tracy Ziegler as the "Fit Member of the Month."
Zeigler recently ran the Keys 100 Ultra Relay won first place with her team for "Best Decorated Van."
"Tracy was the perfect choice because of her high energy and contagious enthusiasm in the studio and at local Key West events," said StayFit owner Raquel Robbins-McCarthy.
Stay Fit created the monthly award to recognize outstanding members who are well-rounded, show determination, consistency and commitment to her/his goals and health, states a company press release. Each winner receives free classes and a complimentary massage at the studio.
Credit union promotes Tomev
Keys Federal Credit Union promoted Barbora Tomev branch supervisor at the Key Plaza branch on North Roosevelt Boulevard. Tomev has been in member services for more than seven years and enjoys helping members build credit so they can purchase homes and build wealth, states a press release from the credit union.
Tomev came to Key West from the Czech Republic to visit a friend in 1988 and never went back.
