A Homestead man told police he was jumped early Sunday morning at a parking lot on Caroline Street, according to Key West police.
There were no reported suspects or arrests.
Officers went to the 400 block of Caroline Street at 4:18 a.m. to find the 26-year-old man bleeding from a large cut above his right eyebrow and bleeding directly from his left eye, reports say.
The man appeared drunk and told officers he was walking through the entrance of a parking lot moments before when two or three men approached him.
He said the suspects punched him in the face, causing him to fall on the ground. They then stole his wallet that contained about $25 and a $400 Galaxy Note cell phone, reports say.
The man was unable to provide police with any description of the suspects, but he believed they left the scene heading west on Caroline Street, reports say.
He told police he had been drinking at a nearby bar earlier and he declined medical treatment.
