Jindra Halik, 88, and Robert Halik, 58, passed away Aug. 17, 2013 in Margate, Fla. Both mother and son were born and resided in Prague, Czech Republic, before moving to the United States in 1971.

Robert had a sharp intellect and wit, an eye for detail and a strong dedication to his mother. There was nothing he could not build or create with his hands and he shared the artistic talents of his late mother, Jindra Halik, and his late brother, Peter Ottenfeld.
Jindra is survived by her granddaughters Katy McMahon and Erica Halik Vural; her stepson Daniel Halik and her sister, Dasha Mer.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Erica Halik Vural and his favorite niece, Katy McMahon.
Services will be held for both Jindra and Robert at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at The Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, 2401 West Cypress Creek Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. Anyone who would like to pay their respects is welcome.
