Key West touted as retirement locale
Key West recently was selected as a top retirement destination by "Where to Retire" a magazine that helps people with retirement relocation decisions.
Key West is one of eight cities profiled in the "8 Novel Destinations: Literary Locales to Love" feature in the recently released November/December issue.
The magazine is published six times a year with a national circulation of 200,000.
Managing Editor Annette Fuller said the eight towns appeal to retirees who seek an environment steeped in culture and history.
"Writers and bookworms will find an enriching arts community in each of these towns. The works of famed authors, such as Key West's Ernest Hemingway, are preserved and honored...."
In addition to Key West, the other seven towns featured are: Oxford, Miss.; Taos, N.M.; Denton, Texas; Nashville, Tenn.; Hannibal, Mo.; Amherst, Mass.; Greensboro, N.C.
