Fishermen's Hospital honors 3
Fishermen's Community Hospital recently announced the recipients of its Exemplary Employee Awards Program for the Third Quarter 2013.
Joe Brake, director of information systems, was named manager of the quarter. Brake, a 13-year hospital veteran, previously received Manager of the Year honors in 2005, 2006 and 2011 and has been named the hospital's quarterly manager six times.
Nominated by his co-workers, Brake was praised for patiently and skillfully guiding the hospital through its transition from paper to electronic record keeping.
Nurse of the Quarter honors went to Susan Bolz of the Surgical Services Department. Bolz moved to Marathon in May 2012, and although relatively new to the staff, her co-workers raved about her competence, reliability and helpful interaction with others, states a hospital press release.
The final award, Employee of the Quarter, went to Analis Flores of the Pharmacy Department. A Marathon resident, Flores was nominated for doing an outstanding job and for helping to improve hospital processes as she learned new job skills.
