Dedicated wife, mother and committed follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, “Sessie” passed into glory on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019. Her death was sudden and pain-free.

She was born in San Jose, Costa Rica on Jan. 21, 1957. Sessie and Bill (“Ciastko”) met in Key West and married on Jan. 21, 1977. They left the Keys for nine years living in Ohio, Italy, England and Chicago before returning to the Keys in 1986. She and the family were full-time residents of the Florida Keys for 33 years. Sessie gave birth to their nine precious children, Elizabeth (Steven) Bolhoffer, David, Abigail (Terence) White, Christiana (John) Warenda, Julianne (Norman) Beck, Georgia (Jeremy) Smith, Priscilla (Douglas) Weeks, William and Jane.

She home-schooled all the children and was a committed supporter of her husband in his ministerial roles as pastor of Keys Presbyterian Church and Keys Evangelistic Ministries. Sessie was a quilter, guitarist and a member of the Southernmost Runners. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Southern Keys Cemetery on Big Coppitt Key. A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, Oct. 19, with a location to be determined.
