Patriot Day is Wednesday, Sept. 11, when the individuals lost and injured in the World Trade Center attacks, as well as first responders, are remembered and honored throughout the country.

Ceremonies will mark the day throughout the Florida Keys, and Monroe County Fire Rescue invites the public to visit any county fire rescue station to pay their respects, from 9:50 to 10:30 a.m. Each station will have apparatus on display and will feature a salute with firefighters.

In Key West, a ceremony will be held at the Firehouse Museum, 1024 Grinnell St., beginning at 8:30 a.m. There will no admission charge for the day at the museum, which features several artifacts from the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
