JOSEPH FRANKLIN RAYMOND LAMBERSON SR.
Nov. 18, 1961-Sept. 2, 2018
Joseph Franklin Raymond Lamberson Sr., 56, passed away after a short, yet courageous battle with cancer on Sept. 2, 2018. Born in Key West, he was known to his family and friends as Joe or Joey and was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church. His passion to tinker with just about anything led him to become known as a great mechanic and a Jack-of-all-trades by his family and friends.
Joe could hold a conversation with anyone and loved to laugh and joke around. He was one of the best storytellers we knew. He took great delight in spending time with the children in his life including his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as many of his friends’ children.
Those who knew Joe knew that he was willing to help anyone in need. He was also stubborn and strong, but those traits helped him overcome many challenges and hardships in his lifetime. He was an inspiration and positive influence on those who were close to him.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, James E Lamberson Sr. and Ruth (Haun) Lamberson, and nephew James E Lamberson III. He is survived by his brothers sisters along with their spouses, James E Lamberson Jr. (Lilia), Brenda L Cartonia (Frank), Rose A Bodmer (Matthew), Alan T Lamberson, and Louella L Kussrath (Steve), his sons Sean A Lamberson (Jason), Jimmy L Lamberson (Stephanie), and Joseph F Lamberson Jr., his grandchildren, Alayna and Scarlett; as well as his nieces and nephews and their spouses, Christy Lamberson, Juan Morales Jr. (Danielle), Anthony Morales (Christy), Bobby Lamberson, Eladio Lamberson, Michelle Gray, Desiree Lamberson, James A Lamberson (Janelle), and many great- nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2713 Flagler Ave, Key West, an informal gathering will take place from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the church.
