Residents and visitors may be somewhat confused about the day and time of Key West’s annual Veterans Day Parade, which is being held on Saturday, Nov. 10, despite a number of websites stating the event is scheduled for Sunday.

While official city websites such as the City of Key West’s page and the Chamber of Commerce correctly list the date and time, other websites such as H20 Suites and the AARP have the event scheduled for Sunday.

According to the City of Key West and Naval Air Station Key West, the parade is confirmed to take place on Saturday, when the lineup will start at 4 p.m. The actual beginning of the parade is scheduled to start at 5 p.m., when it will go from United Street to the end of Duval Street.

The parade, which usually takes place on Veterans Day itself, was rescheduled due to a conflict with the boat races in town for the weekend.

The parade will feature a variety of active and retired military representatives and floats, including a special appearance from officers of the USS Key West submarine.
