KITCHEN CABINET FABRICATION
AND INSTALLATION

The Housing Authority of the City of Key West, Florida (the Housing Authority), will receive sealed bids on the following contract to perform Kitchen Cabinet Fabrication and installation until 11:00 pm on August 30, 2019 at 1400 Kennedy Drive, Key West, Florida 33040 at which time and place, all bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after the submission deadline will be deemed non-responsive.

CONTRACT: KITCHEN CABINET
FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION

Provide all labor and materials for fabrication and installation of Kitchen Cabinets to include replacing plumbing and kitchen fixtures (i.e. Sinks, Faucets, etc.) for approximately 84 apartments as per the Technical Specifications and drawings. Contractor will be required to make site visits for measuring and minor customization as needed.

Bidders must submit a sample of one (1) Bottom Cabinet and one (1) counter top with Bid.

Proposed forms of bid documents will be on file as of July 10, 2019 at the Housing Authority of the City of Key West, Florida, 1400 Kennedy Drive, Key West, Florida and may be picked up from the front desk between the hours of 8 am and 12 noon, and 1 pm and 5 pm., Monday through Friday or via electronic mail (singw@kwha.org) upon request. Any inquiries or requests concerning interpretation, clarification, information concerning access to the site, or additional information pertaining to the BID shall be made to William A Sing, via e-mail at singw@kwha.org or calling (305) 296-5621 ext 241.

BIDDERS SHOULD ATTEND A PRE-BID CONFERENCE BEING HELD 2 PM July 22, 2019 AT THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF KEY WEST, FLORIDA ADMINISTRATION OFFICES AT 1400 KENNEDY DR. KEY WEST, FLORIDA 33040 AT WHICH TIME REPRESENTATIVES OF THE AUTHORITY WILL REVIEW THE SPECIFICATIONS AND CLARIFY THE EXTENT OF THE WORK REQUIRED.

The Housing Authority of the City of Key West, Florida, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, and to award to any party considered to be in the best interest of the Housing Authority of the City of Key West, Florida. HOUSING QUALITY STANDARDS (HQS) INSPECTIONS

The Housing Authority of the City of Key West, Florida (the Housing Authority), will receive sealed bids on the following contract to perform Housing Quality Standards (HQS) Inspections until 2:00 pm on August 9, 2019 at 1400 Kennedy Drive, Key West, Florida 33040 at which time and place, all bids will be publicly opened and read. The initial contract will be from August 26, 2019 through December 31, 2019 with the possibility of two additional one year extensions. Bids received after the submission deadline will be deemed non-responsive.

SCOPE OF WORK

The contractor shall provide residential HQS inspections for the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Inspections to be reported electronically via handheld device furnished by the Housing Authority.

Prior to the start of the work, the successful bidder must furnish a General Liability Insurance Certificate to the Housing Authority in an amount not less than $500,000, and the following types of insurance’s are to be in force: Worker’s Compensation, Automobile Liability for all Vehicles/Equipment to be used in the work, and any other types required when performing work of this nature. The contractor must have a current occupational and trade license required by local ordinances.
